Account
Delete your account
You can delete your Irshad account at any time. Here is exactly how to do it and what happens next.
Option 1 — Delete from the app (recommended)
Open Irshad
Sign in with the account you want to delete.
Go to Settings
Tap the profile icon in the top right, then tap Settings.
Tap Account → Delete account
Scroll to the bottom of the Account section.
Confirm
Re-enter your password and tap Delete my account. You will be signed out immediately.
Option 2 — Email us
If you cannot sign in, email us from the address on your account:
support@irshad.appSubject line: Delete my account. We verify your identity from the sending address and process the request within 5 business days.
What gets deleted
Deletion removes, from our active systems:
- Your account — email, password hash, first name, last name, phone number.
- All learning progress — lesson completions, quiz scores, streaks, XP, level, achievements, certificates.
- Bookmarks and review queue.
- Posts, comments, and likes you created in community features.
- Push notification tokens on your devices.
- Your user preferences and profile settings.
How deletion works
Immediately: your account is soft-deleted. Sign-in is blocked — if someone tries, the app shows account deleted. Your data is hidden from all app features.
During the next 30 days: a grace window during which you can email support@irshad.app to restore your account. This protects against accidental or malicious deletion.
After 30 days: your record and all associated data are permanently purged from our production database by an automated job. Purged data cannot be restored.
Backups: encrypted backups may retain the record for up to 30 days after purge, then are overwritten.
Retained minimally: we may retain limited authentication event logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for up to 180 days for fraud and security purposes, and minimal financial records as required by tax and consumer-protection law.
Before you delete
- Cancel active subscriptions first. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google — deleting your Irshad account does not cancel a store subscription. See Support for steps.
- Your progress will be lost. Streaks, certificates, and achievements cannot be recovered once the 30-day window closes.
- Free-tier content is still free after deletion. You can create a new account later, but you will start from zero.
